π¨ FOREST STRIKE GOLD, DIOMANDE IS IN THE BUILDING π¨
11 August 2026, 18:50
π THE FULL PICTURE:
Nottingham Forest just went out and grabbed Ivory Coast defender Ousmane Diomande from Sporting for a reported Β£34 million. The 22-year-old signed a four-year deal with an option for another year, and he's clearly buzzing. He said Forest is a historic club and he's ready to give his best. New boss Oliver Glasner runs a 3-5-2, so Diomande likely slots in next to Milenkovic and Murillo. He's got 15 caps, played at the 2026 World Cup, and helped Sporting win back-to-back Portuguese titles. Glasner tried to sign him at Crystal Palace before, now he finally got his man.
π MY TAKE:
This is a serious move. Diomande's got Champions League experience and a winning mentality, and he's still only 22. Glasner clearly knows exactly what he wants, and pairing him with Milenkovic and Murillo could be nasty. Forest aren't messing around this summer. That back three is looking stacked, dude. Big energy from the club. Let's go.
