🚨 EVERTON PULL OFF NORGAARD SIGNING, TOFFEES MIDFIELD GETTING SCARY
6 August 2026, 04:21
📝 THE FULL PICTURE:
Everton just landed Christian Norgaard from Arsenal on a two-year contract for a reported £7m. The 32-year-old Denmark international joined the Gunners last summer for £15m, but appeared in just seven Premier League games last season. He was left out of Arsenal's squad for a friendly against Real Betis. Everton also added Hayden Hackney for £16.5m and Tyrique George for £18m. Norgaard said he's "very intrigued" after talking with David Moyes, and called Everton "so difficult to play against." Moyes is reloading after losing Coleman and Gueye, with James Garner also sidelined after groin surgery. The Toffees kick off against Crystal Palace on August 22.
💭 MY TAKE:
Norgaard isn't the flashiest pickup, but he's an experienced battler who captained Brentford and knows this league inside and out. For £7m? That's smart business. Moyes is clearly building a tough, experienced core, and Norgaard fits perfectly. Arsenal won the title with him riding the bench, so now he gets a chance to prove he's still got it. Crystal Palace, you've been warned. Everton is coming.
