📝 THE FULL PICTURE:
Highlanders just dropped a signing that’s got everyone talking - Benjani Mwaruwari Jnr, the 21-year-old winger and son of Bosso head coach Benjani Mwaruwari, is officially a Bulawayo Giant. The youngster came up through Portsmouth’s academy, then moved to Yeovil Town’s setup in 2020. He inked his first pro contract with the English National League side in October 2022 after an insane youth season: 25 goals and 16 assists in 30 games. He also got senior minutes on loan at Sherborne Town and Dorchester Town before a stint at Bridgwater United. Now he’s back in Zimbabwe, ready to play under his old man as Highlanders push for a better league run in the 2026 Castle Lager PSL season. Club unveiled him Monday with a social media video. Let’s go!
💭 MY TAKE:
This is wild. Imagine your dad being your head coach - no pressure, right? But the kid’s got pedigree from England and those youth numbers are crazy. If he brings half that energy to Bosso, they might actually turn things around. Definitely one to watch.
