🚨 CHELSEA PUSH HARD FOR PALACE STAR LACROIX - BIG MONEY DEAL LOOMING
21 July 2026, 04:16
📝 THE FULL PICTURE:
Chelsea have stepped up their chase for Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix after fresh, positive talks between the ownership of both clubs. The 26-year-old French center-back, who has three years left on his contract, wants a new challenge despite Palace offering him an extension. The Eagles want at least £60 million for the player, who has made 98 appearances since joining from Wolfsburg for up to £18m in August 2024. Palace are already scouting replacements, including Augsburg’s Chrislain Matsima. Meanwhile, Chelsea are also closing in on a £117m deal for Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers. If Lacroix arrives, Trevoh Chalobah’s future at Stamford Bridge gets even shakier, with Como showing interest.
💭 MY TAKE:
Chelsea spending another £60m on a defender? Dude, their transfer strategy is wild. Lacroix is solid, but £60m feels steep for a guy they could’ve gotten cheaper last year. And then there’s Rogers for £117m - that’s insane money. I guess they’re all-in on Premier League experience, but the Blues better hope these moves actually work out.
